God is walking the mountains and the valleys of western Montana, and He is the God who sings over His children with greatest joy. Yes, it is smoky, and the fires have left great devastation, but beyond the circumstances, what has He seen in the hearts of men, women and children this summer that causes Him joy? What do you do, what do we do, that causes Him to sing? Zephaniah 3:17 says, "The Lord your God is with you, He is mighty to save. He will take great delight in you, He will quiet you with His love, He will rejoice over you with singing." Here at the end of a productive summer and the threshold of an event-filled fall, pause with us to reflect and to celebrate. Both the Mission camps, Elohim and Utmost, with 13 weeks between them, touched the lives of 586 campers. And 205 staffers, beholden to grace responded to the open challenge of loving these campers into the Kingdom of the living God. Mission churches held Vacation Bible Schools throughout the area. Thank you, the unsung heroes, for your tireless efforts. Whether you taught lessons, crafts, or games; baked cookies, drove vans, or invited neighbor kids, God must surely sing over you! Precious, squirmy children saw Jesus through you this summer. Our goal here at the Mission is not to advance the ministry or to build a great lodge it is to change lives for the glory of God... and to listen for the sound of singing. |
