RENDEZVOUS

Making Chalk & Making Memories

Here is your opportunity to leave a lasting mark! Homemade chalk and love-made gifts to the Mission.

Recipe for the chalk:

  • 1/3 cup plaster of Paris (quick set)
  • 1 tablespoon tempera paint, vary according to intensity of color desired and whether it is liquid or dry paint
  • 3 tablespoons water (less if you use liquid paint)

An empty toilet paper tube works as a mold. Cover one end with duct tape. Let plaster dry to the touch in the molds, about two hours, then microwave them a few times on a very low power, to get them dry. Take out of the mold before putting in the micro-wave. Otherwise, allow 36 hours for them to thoroughly air dry. Tempera is kid-friendly and washes right off, as does the plaster.

Recipe for love: To make an eternal impression and leave a memory, please consider a memorial gift to the Rocky Mountain Bible Mission.
