RENDEZVOUS

You Are Part of the Big Picture

by Leota Fred, the Mission's Business Manager

What a great job I have! The Lord has allowed me to play a small, but somewhat necessary role in the daily operations of the Rocky Mountain Bible Mission. I get to watch the cash flow in and out of the Mission. The Lord has allowed me to sit in my office and receipt the donations and cut the checks while the missionaries are out doing the really important good stuff—reaching the rural areas with the Gospel.

And I love it. I get to see the big picture of the Mission as well as the individual ministries. I get to share in the excitement of that donation coming in just in the nick of time and to feel the reassurance that God gives even when the money didn’t quite come in and plans have to be changed. Through it all I get to see God’s work and I get to know His workers on the front line. Most of the time I get to work behind the front lines. Today, however, I must move forward to share with you some of the needs of the Mission.

  • Elohim Camp & Retreat Center is building some staff housing. We are working as the funds allow, and we are about half way to our goal of $20,000 for completion. In the meantime we need to keep up on the repair and maintenance of the camp.
  • Camp Utmost has those "finishing" touches to the camp, as well as needing another pump house and a backup generator. Camp Utmost is now faced with repair and maintenance of buildings too.
  • Pathwalkers has acquired two vans in the last year and are busily motoring kids and missionaries. Insurance and maintenance are major expenses, and any help is greatly appreciated.
  • Shepherd’s Conference has become such a blessing to our missionaries. The conference and accompanying retreat allows for the nurturing of the frontline. We are trying to keep the costs as minimal as possible yet provide a good program as well.

I am truly blessed by the way the missionaries of the Rocky Mountain Bible Mission carry out God’s work with the limited resources they have. I am truly blessed by the way God has used the many friends of the Mission and the resources they provide. What a great job I have!
