RENDEZVOUS

Wohlers Newest Mission Board Member

The Rocky Mountain Bible Mission elects Executive Board members for a three year term of office. Pastor Edwin Grinder just completed his term, also serving the Board as recording secretary. He and his wife Linda have been ministering in Cascade, Montana since their move in 1999 from their pastorate in Kemmerer, Wyoming. The Mission family elected Bill Wohlers of Deer Lodge to fill this vacancy.

Rev. Bill Wohlers was called as chaplain for the Montana State Prison in Deer Lodge in December of 1979. Prior to his coming, he served as the pastor of Emmanuel Evangelical Free Church in Plevna, Montana, and the Evangelical Free Church of Big Timber, Montana.

Chaplain Wohlers, known locally as "Wild Bill," was born and raised in New York City. He came to faith in Christ in 1962 while serving in the United States Army.

Bill has a Bachelor of Arts in Religion from Evangelical Bible College and a Master of Arts in Pastoral Care from Faith Evangelical Lutheran Seminary. He was ordained by the Evangelical Free Church of American in 1973.

Bill is also the pastor of the Christ Fellowship Church in Deer Lodge, serving since 1996. Bill and his wife Marilyn have two grown children and three grandchildren. Marilyn teaches first grade in the public school system.
