We discourage absences (see why below) but certainly acknowledge and understand the possibility of a need in an emergency. Plans should be made to schedule activities around class dates. To aid the student in this, the mission has committed to publish them very early. (Click for the Elohim Schedule or the Utmost Schedule three years out). Should an absence be unavoidable, the student will still be responsible for the material. He or she might make arrangements to have the sessions taped by another student and obtain the student's notes. (We know from experience that the student will still miss a great deal of the conversation listening to the tapes.)
