A Brief History of the CongregationThe church was established and incorporated in 1979. We met in the Swan Valley Community Hall until October 19, 2003, when we moved into our brand new log church. This new building is a blessing from God. We are such a small congregation and it seemed impossible that we could build a church. God literally worked through hundreds of people to see this project to completion. He receives all the glory, praise and honor for the completion of His House of Worship! Condon Community Church serves a 25-mile stretch of the Swan Valley, southeast of Flathead Lake. The church was originally a Village Missions work, and became a part of the Rocky Mountain Bible Mission in 1990. Jim and Diane Moore minister to the Condon community, where timber and tourism support 400 year-round residents, most of whom are not native to the area. Men's and ladies' Bible study and prayer, and youth group are active and adult ministries are strong; in addition to the Sunday fare, these lend themselves well to the church's dual emphasis on evangelism and discipleship. Condon Community Church has an important outreach to young men incarcerated in nearby Swan Valley Youth Academy. The church began its building project in the fall of 2001. |
