The following lists were complied on January 4, 2006 by Executive Director Dave Simmons

Responsibilities of RMBM to Missionary

  1. Stand behind the RMBM church that the missionary joins to financially support the missionary that serves their congregation (By Laws Article II 2a)
  2. The executive board is to maintain official communication with all missionaries (By Laws Article III 1b)
  3. The RMBM acts as a conduit for financial support to the missionary through contributions made to the Mission by other individuals and/or churches, designated for that missionary (By Laws Article I 1)
  4. Keep contribution and other financial records for the missionary so that the missionary can exclude from income tax more of his remuneration
  5. The RMBM executive board assumes responsibility for the overall spiritual and material health of the Mission (including that of individual missionaries) (Article III 1b)
  6. To provide oversight and care of the missionary by the executive director (Executive Director: General Description)
  7. To provide ongoing missionary support and counsel by the executive director (Executive Director: General Description)
  8. To provide a visit by the executive director annually to that missionary's church (Executive Director: Specific Duties #1)
  9. To provide the executive director to be active in any church conflict or discipline matters of the missionary's church when called upon (Executive Director: Specific Duties #5)
  10. To make the executive director available in the RMBM office on a schedule agreed upon by the executive board and communicated to all missionaries (Executive Director: Specific Duties #6)
  11. To provide a visit to the missionary at least twice per year, assess the spiritual, family, financial and physical well being, and report needs to the executive board (Executive Director: Specific Duties #10)
  12. To provide counsel and encouragement to the missionary by the executive director (Executive Director: Specific Duties #11)
  13. To provide a summer camp with Bible curriculum where the missionary can serve each year and send kids from his area of ministry
  14. To ensure the missionary has phone numbers and locations where he can reach the executive director at any time (Executive Director: Specific Duties #13)

Responsibilities of Missionary to RMBM

  1. Meet the requirements of Article IV of the Constitution: their lives manifesting the fruits of a true faith in God.
  2. Agree to the RMBM Statement of Faith
  3. Agree to the other constitutional tenants of the RMBM.
  4. Agree to the RMBM By Laws
  5. Agree to the written policies of the RMBM
  6. Be under the authority of the Executive Board (By Laws Article I, 2)
  7. Attend each quarterly meeting of the RMBM (By Laws Article I 2a)
  8. Report at least annually as to the ministry and condition of his area of the Mission (By Laws Article I 2a)
  9. Keep and submit such records as the Executive Board will require (By Laws Article I 2b)
  10. Join a RMBM member-church in their area of ministry (By Laws Article I 2c)
  11. Place themselves under the authority of the church board of #10 above (By Laws Article I 2c)
  12. Be under the supervision of the RMBM Executive Director including their missionary activity (By Laws Article III 3e)
  13. Vote in all matters coming before the RMBM at the quarterly Meeting (By Laws Article IV 3) (including the election and calling of officers)
  14. Pray constantly for the Mission, its members, and its ministry (By Laws Article V 1)
  15. Attend the services of the RMBM as far as possible (By Laws Article V 1)
  16. Support materially the Mission according to ability and necessity (By Laws Article V 1)
  17. In Failing to reach personal reconciliation with other parties in the RMBM, agree that disagreement will be settled out of court by biblically based mediation (By Laws Article V 2)
  18. Agree not to serve in a capacity of public spiritual leadership until both boards (the RMBM executive board and local church board) are satisfied with the resolution of the point in question, when placed under discipline by the RMBM board, or the local church board (By Laws Article VI 1)
